My Potting Shed
January 29th, 2009 in member junkThis is my much loved much used potting shed my husband and I built using mainly salvaged and recycled materials and pieces we had collected and saved over the years. We reused as much of the wood as was possible from an old shed and other projects the plywood floor is covered with old ceiling tiles we found in the trash as well as the old cast iron sink the windows were purchased at the habitat for $10 each.Last summer we added the awning using victorian corbles and a old door purchased at an antique salvage store. The roof of the shed is clear plexy glass which gives the shed a greenhouse feel. In the fall I purchased the round window at the habitat for $5 which we will install this spring. All and all the total cost to build this shed was about $ 250. Its a rustic, funky, little shed and much loved and useful in so many ways. If you walk around my garden you would find many reclaimed ,reused items like the little white fence beside my shed that leads into my veggi garden.I have a love for anything old and am please to have discovered this site as its right up my alley :-)
