A few projects that are truly For The Birds!
February 2nd, 2009 in member junkI've been playing around with some ideas for unconventional birdhouses. And since this is the day when we all start to wonder when spring will arrive, I thought it'd be a good time to post. There are more I'll be posting as spring draws nearer.
They definitely would show better hanging from a tree limb (note to self: maybe I should hang a tree limb in my shop, I need to continually work on display skills), but right now we've got a lot of snow. So, sorry the setting isn't great.

As far as the hole goes, I thought I could just drill a hole, but it wasn't clean like when you drill wood. So I had to scrounge around for things to trim some of the holes. I'm not even sure what everything was. But one is a plumbing piece that goes at bottom of bathroom sink, and there was another piece from our plumbing box. I also used the round piece behind a doorknob (but the hole is a bit small). I'm still on the lookout for possibilities.
