retro space ship propeller table i made last night

Made this table last night out in the shop..it is made from 100% found objects..the base  is a stainless steel half sphere, ceramic insulator, aluminum propeller fan, and some gears and hardware all came from the scrap yard, found the glass top on the curb. just need to put some glass levelers on the ends of the blades

ultrajunk writes: Oh for sure can't wait to watch them.,,you would not believe the 16mm home movies i found this summer at the yard..9 reels in cans all from the same family and they were made in the early 30's....they are incredible to watch, I watched them all on a projector from the 30's that i found at the yard about a month before the films and it works perfect. I was already offered $1000 for the films, but i can't part with them yet...I am putting them on dvd soon.

Christy i am in OhiO...so i think it would be a tad to far for scrap shoppin. They just opened a brand new yard down from the my other ones and i went there last friday for the first time and they let me shop..i found 7 vintage 8mm home movies from the 60's that i will be watching this week....all for $1..so that was my first purchase..yahooo! That is such a bummer that they won't let you in yours anymore.

Nope i just go to the scrap yard everyday, rain sleet or snow and it was 0 degrees today but i still found some great stuff. The 30's machine age compliment is the best one i could have, as i love that period of style, so i am really glad you said that..thanks!

The table looks like it’s from the 1930’s Machine Age.
