Industrial meets Romance

My sister is having a baby in March.   I am hosting her baby shower shortly.  I needed some 8" wide cake stands for the dessert table.  I made them using a cocktail shaker cup and an industrial vent cap.  Once attached with epoxy I gave them a spray with some stainless steel appliance paint and attached a little vintage silk flower.   I am going to top them with paper doilys and little cakes.  They were super cheap to make - under $4.00 each.

I think it is going to be a boy - I will let you know!

georgiamoon writes: Hi there. I always admire the projects that you do... simple and elegant. This is a great marriage of two unrelated items that seem to be made for each other. This will be one beautiful baby shower. We will want to see the pictures! Georgia Posted: 3:27 pm on January 16th
