Looking a wee bit closer at the line up!

This laundryroom window is a sweet frame to a farm yard scene.  Why not "magic" up the frame??  I added sweet enamelware ladles - the kind meant to hang on their own.  You never know what treasures might find there way into the ladle - here they hold mini-wreaths (they could hold votives, paperclips in an office...).  Also - note wire baskets on the left - stacked and hung waiting for use.  The valance is made from a $1.00 tablecloth found at the Kane County Flea Market.

P.S. - Thought I would share some laundryroom pics as the colors are kind of Valentine's Day-ish...

MakinItHappen writes: Wow, I just saw this post after all this time. I, too, have enamel ladles in my red and white laundry room! Mine had bird's nests in them. I started with one that was my mother's, then found a few more. Posted: 2:30 pm on August 15th
Meadowview_Farm writes: I totally get the ups & downs of enamelware...I used to collect even more of it too. Now I just focus on unique ladles, pitchers in all shapes and sizes, unique pieces, and buckets that I use all the time for my everyday use. It is functional stuff, and I do like the clean look. I do tend to be smitten with the enamelware that has dings and knocks - just like true life ... I just found a pitcher that was repaired with a screw, nut & washer --love that!

FunktionalJunk writes: Oh wow this is cute! I'm like several of the others...I was on a crazy-sick enamel ware binge for a long time and I have tons of it in my house. Thanks for another great idea on how I can use it!

Meadowview_Farm writes: I just love the idea of a bird's nest nesteled in a ladle - how sweet would that be --- and soap, herbs --- just anything!

Enamelware is truly a fun addition to any room. I especially love enamelware pitchers - I have 10 above the jelly cupboard in the kitchen (all shapes and sizes) --- and at least 4 for sale in my antiques booth at any given moment. They are simple and elegant and practical! Some time I will post a picture of that line up!

roadtriplouise writes: Very clever! I like enamelware. Makes me want to bring my back out in the bathroom. Sometimes I put things away for awhile, than it new again when I put it sometwhere else. Posted: 12:44 pm on January 11th
fellowjunker writes: I love enamelware and am always on the lookout for it. I like what you have done with your ladles and you have inspired me to hang one in the laundry room and use it for a hand soap holder!!!

LuAnn writes: Nice idea. Could also be used in the kitchen maybe to hold some small herbs.
