Wire Basket with a great rusty finish

Laundry Basket from an estate sale becomes a great side table with the addition of a glass top. The spools were purchased at a garage sale the same day and placed in the basket to keep them from rolling around. They became an element that made the basket more interesting, so I left them as-is.

shabbychick writes: What a great table - such simple/elegant design - and to think it was just an old laundry basket!! I love how the spools display in it!

And the car sign is really awesome!

Thanks for sharing.

JunkArchitect writes: The sign behind the chair is cool but I didn’t make it, I found it at an antique shop a few years ago. It’s a list of brands a certain used car dealership sold in the late 30’s. That’s all the information I could get out of the antique dealer. Each slat is held to the other by little hooks.
I’ll take a photo and add it to this post.

I'D ALSO LIKE TO SEE MORE OF THE SIGN BEHIND THE BASKET TABLE. IS IT A LIST OF CARS? AND DID YOU MAKE OR BUY IT? Posted: 3:30 pm on January 6th
georgiamoon writes: Ok this must be the least complicated project you have ever done. I love the simplicity of it and the spools do add the depth that this piece needed. Isn't it great when It all falls together...It was meant to be! Georgia Posted: 1:54 pm on January 6th
MimiToria writes: Love the simplicity and style of your new table. I have the glass top in my basement, if only I could find one of these. Love them.
Beautiful design as always.

Thanks!
