This is a Mohogany Cabinet I purchased at a yard sale.  I redesigned it, refurbished and repurposed it.  Now it's a bar!

I sanded it, took the old hardware off, painted it, then soaked posters in water and then carefully applied to cabinet.  Smoothed out bubled and let cure for several days.  Then I sealed it.

pizzawife writes: Hi Georgiamoon: I do have a lot of patience, I have 5 daughters, but it is because I do this kind of stuff that keeps me in check. It's my therapy....and I'm certain it's more cost effective to paint than to see a therapist. Ha, Ha. I did spend a lot of time on this. I will hate to part with it when I sell it, but my house can only hold so much furniture. Thanks for all of your comments! Posted: 1:41 pm on December 31st
georgiamoon writes: WOW this is quite impressive. I think you are a much more patient person than I am . This looks like you really worked hard on making it so seamless and professional! I love MM too what a beauty (her and the bar!) Georgia Posted: 1:28 pm on December 31st
FunktionalJunk writes: I love your ideas. Your daughter is so lucky...all of her dorm-mates are going to be jealous! These look very expensive, like something you'd see in a high-end boutique kind of place. Awesome! Posted: 12:04 am on December 31st

pizzawife writes: Of course I'm back. This site is awesome. I get real inspiration here and everyone is so nice. It takes me a while to think about what I'm going to do with something once I buy it, find it or pluck it from the curb side. I have a total of 16 items in my garage to do. With the holidays I had to put my paint brush down for a while. Now I have to start thinking about getting this stuff out of my garage. Then what, don't know. My house can only hold so much furniture. I need to find a way to make some $$ from this stuff.....if I can let it go!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! Posted: 1:46 pm on December 30th
