This is 3 bulletin boards(one for each boy)hanging in our kitchen. It is for their school notices and awards. I put a shutter on each side to help it to look like a window. We put notices/invites in the slats of the shutters with vintage clips to keep us organized.
This is a cabinet that my friends grandfather made a long time ago.  It is just as he made it. I did nothing to it. It wasnt her style so she gave it to me. Score! In it I keep all the wonderful treasures that our children have made.
This chair I found by the side of the road.  It was the perfect color for our home.  The fabric was gone but the stuffing was intact.  I covered it witha beautiful wide striped toile fabris with my handy staple gun. Then I hot glued ball trim along the edge. It turned out so nice and is a nice french addition.
This is an old medicine cabinet that I picked up at a Barn Chicks sale. We keep all of our dog stuff in here. On the top is my collection of old bottles. My husband has picked most of these up from digging at job sites. To the left is an old street sign picked up at the Buffalo Nickle, it says Willow St.

These are some fun photos of our home.  It is definatly a work in progress. We are always doing something.  But isn't that what homeownership is all about?! Thanks for looking. This was fun for me:).

Now with 3 little boys I can definitely see where the 3 bulletin boards and shutters are a great addition to keeping oneself organized. Just with school alone, it is massive the amount of papers a Mom has to deal with on a weekly basis. What a great idea for other Moms with busy families to keep on top of things.

paper organizer for the kids (kids definitely = papers).
Thanks for sharing and welcome.

What a great home you have! Of course the pieces you showcased are to die for. For instance, the roadside chair and your friend's grandfather's cabinet. You have such a great look and feel to your home with all your junk finds.

Welcome to the site and can't wait to see more!
