Pantaloon Christmas Stocking

This Christmas "pantaloon" stocking is crafted from vintage ticking I picked up a tag sale and a vintage window curtain.  I traced the outline of a woman's thigh high stocking from the 1940's and altered it a bit to create the pattern -- the stocking is dramatically long.  I made the stocking from the ticking, and then added the "curtain" to look like a pantaloon!  I embellished with a vintage millinery flower and an old ornament.  These look great on a staircase as well as on the mantle.
