I picked a batch of buttons once that was full of golf buttons. I made the middle bouquet with some of the golf buttons for my Mom to give her boss.
I made this one with my MIL to coordinate with her bathroom.
This my first one, I made it for my  Mom for Christmas in 06.

I've been making these since '06. I have a blast making them.

I think I'll try this and send her some of her old buttons in a new light for Mother's Day this year. Thanks for the beautiful pics. Happy New Year! Posted: 4:48 pm on December 29th

shabbychick writes: I love your button bouquets - they're so colorful and creative! I have fun making them too, and there are so many different ways to do them. I have some florist wire that I'll have to try - I've been using black 19-gauge wire - it works pretty well too.

Thanks for sharing - it's always good to see what each person's imagination can do with the same materials - lovely, just lovely!! :)

I found the wire I was using to be a little stiff and hard to work with. Maybe I will try this kind next. Thanks for the inspiration and information, Georgia Posted: 7:29 pm on December 18th
MelHow writes: I use florists wire because it is cheap - and without going to look, I am not sure what the gauge is - it is pretty coarse. I use a double of wire in double-holed buttons and single wire in each pair for four-hole buttons and then I twist it all together. A good tight twist from top to bottom. I cut the bottom to make it even. As a result, they have pretty sturdy stems. Posted: 6:28 pm on December 18th
upyourattic writes: These look beautiful - your wire is different from what I used recently - do you twist it all the way down? Is is 19 gauge? I love doing these and the color combinations are so fun to make! Keep up the good work and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!
