We used old boards and cut into a circle then secured it together with a found round thing.  For the peep whole we used a rusty latern top to cover a naturally occurring knot hole. Last we salvaged decorative hinges, and an old door know with plate.

Every Sunday, I have a collection of neighborhood kids convene at my house to build our hobbit hut. It's a slow going project that will probably last into the summer, but I'm finding it very rewarding. All the kids (me  included) have a ton of fun weaving sticks, sawing trees, and trimming vines. There's huge plans for this hut like overnight camping and candle light story telling. All of the materials are found and recycled. I'll keep you guys updated as we progress. :)
