Alcohol ink on metal chair

I found a couple vinyl chairs in pretty bad condition. There was slashes in vinyl.  The stuffing was completey soaked and molded. Seriously gross stuff in there.

Once I removed all the ick there was a perfect metal base. I just took a grinder polished it up a bit. Next I layered alcohol ink into a gear design. I think with a little practice this new medium could be used to create depth on metal pieces. What do you think?
