The littlest Christmas tree
December 17th, 2008 in member junkThis is a left over tree top in a painted galvanized bucket. My good friend Gretchen pulled this beautiful black piece of granite out of a dumpster last summer. I made her get in the dumpster for me, however, I was on the outside to grab it (I had to let you know I was at least some help). Lanette's good friend Sue Wolfe painted the galvanized bucket. I used crushed rock salt to hold the tree top in place and add some much needed weight. I have also added a rusty vintage pair of skates. I purchased the skates from an occasional sale last month. The galvanized bucket was spray painted black, then the green dots were put on with a sponge dobber.

The girls are having ice cream in a shop that has internet, so just had to check out the site. We're at St. Johns Pass tonight for our anniversary dinner, in Madiera Beach, Florida. Way warmer than MN. : )

We have the greatest spot west of where Gretchen, Lanette and I live. It is only 1/2 an hour away. Once a month these shops in Buffalo, Minnesota open up the 1st Thursday thru Sunday. They have created and shopped for new finds all month long. It is so wonderful, we have a blast. Gretchen and Lanette are pros and have been going to Buffalo for years. Lanette actually sells in a shop in Buffalo. If you are ever in good old Minnesota, we could hook you up for a fantastic weekend.
