Vintage soda crate combined with an old candy mold...cheers!
This is cool! Cast aluminum mold for making little candy bottles.
First thing was to fabricate wooden spacers.
Just a little dab of goo from a hot glue gun keeps the spacers secure.
The mold fits perfectly over the spacers.
Bottle mold...bottle crate...works for me.
Test run for New Years Eve.
Love those little bottle shapes!
The hand slots make carring the tray a breeze.
Happy New Year!

I’ve created most of the furnishings in my home with junk. So with a New Year's Eve party planned I made a serving tray that fits right in with my dilapidated décor. All it took was combining an old candy mold with a vintage soda crate.

This is the coolest drink tray that I have ever seen. I can't believe that it fit so perfectly inside of the crate. The texture the mold brings to the piece is fantastic!!! I can just see you serving drinks in your fabulous house and everyone going crazy for that tray!!! What a great idea you had when you saw this! Here's to an even more amazing year, full of adventure, fun and MORE projects like this one!!!
