Junky-stemmed Pumpkins

I love the size, shape and color of this pumpkin, but the stem is just boring.  Time to revamp this little guy into something more fun!
After gently pulling off the old stem, I simply shoved the doorknob into the pumpkin, glueing it with a bit of Gorilla Glue.
Ive always loved this old gauge, and I thought it would be cute as a stem for this pumpkin.  Again, the current stem was a little boring, right?!
Here are three pumpkins with their new stems...all junky and cute.  I sprayed them with a little poly, just to brighten them up.
A little embellishment...an old cloth tape measure...
On this pumpkin I used a knob you would use as a drawer pull on a dresser.
Happy Fall!

With my favorite season of Autumn soon approaching, when I dug out my fall decorations I knew my old pumpkins needed a little re-do.  I have a bucket of cool old door knobs, as well as some old gauges, and well, one thing led to another....
