I had planned to do a theme tree this year but when I open up that box of ornaments collected throughout my childhood and that of my SK's I don't have the heart to not put them on the tree.  I compromised by decorating this little foot tall tree with colorful gifts and ornaments.  It's placed on a silver cake stand I own which is sitting on my Grandfather's WWII trunk which serves as our coffee table.

I got overwhelmed and got to decorating late this year but have big plans for next year in decorating my home.  New stockings, wreath, feather trees, curtains, a table topper and much more.

You can see one of my unfinished home improvement projects in the background - my hearth.  It was cold enough to snow last weekend so we lit a cozy fire.  You can even see a little bit of my Israeli (sp) camel.  My grandmother bought it in Isreal in the 70's.

If you want to do a theme for next year, after Christmas sale shopping is the perfect time to start finding those discounted great buys. I buy Christmas all year long whenever I find great things, whether it be at a garage sale, thrift store, new, or whatever.
