Rochester Area Builders, Inc produced the 2nd annual Studs, Struts & Stilettos Construction Fashion Expose this past April. I was lucky enough to be in the audience to witness this first hand. All fashions are designed and created from construction/building materials and presented by live models strtutting their stuff down the runway.

I had been looking for a charitable organization to partner with at Uncorked JUNKMARKET Style and this event fit like a glove. We are all re-purposers here at JMS. and these original fashion creations truly epitomize re-purpose. All proceeds from the event benefit the Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity. What could be better than that?!

The award winning gowns will be on display at Uncorked JUNKMARKET Style the entire weekend and some will be worn the live models on Friday night. Come see for yourself. You will be truly inspired. While you are there look for the buckets with the Habitat for Humanity logo and drop in a donation for a very good cause!

Enjoy the images from the 2015 event!

Mission Vision

A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Mission Statement

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

All are welcome

Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people.  In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion.  As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations do not proselytize.  This means that Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implied condition that people must either adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith.
