All done and ready to become part of the all things spring photo booth at Uncorked JUNKMARKET Style!
This chair was destined for the Preston dump until I decided it should be a lawn chair. Literally!
I wanted to brighten up the chair a bit so I began that process by sanding. After the sanding was done I put on a coat of Skidmores liquid beeswax sealer. It brought the natural deep green patina of the chair.
The chair is upholstered on the top...both front and back. I draped my Sumbrella fabric over the upholstered pats, measured and cut. Since I dont sew much I attached the new fabric right over the old with fabric glue.
After the fabric was adhered to the chair I added some trim to finish the edges again using the fabric glur. I used thumb tacks to hold the trim in place while it dried.
Next comes the seat. I purchased scrap pieces of artificial turf from Menards. Its really quite comfortable to sit on! I measured the seat and went snip, snip, snip!
After clipping the grass I used E 6000 adhesive and a staple gun to attach the turf to the chair seat. The artificial grass hides the staples.
The back...
We will be dressing up the photo booth with dolled up wine bottles and beautiful plant stakes crafted by the talented Miss Diana Darden.
Lilyloves the chair. I wont tell you what shes thinking about doing on the artificial turf. Youll have to use your imagination!

I pulled this chair out of the back of a truck headed for the local dump. I actually had loaded it myself, but took a second look and decided it had potential for new life. Please meet the "lawn" chair headed to Uncorked. It will take its place in the photo booth.

Did you make this?
After you make it, show it off to other members in the Member Junk area.
