Bumble Bee Fish Tote Coffee Table

I ran across an old Bumble Bee wooden fish tote along the Oregon Coast a couple of years ago.  I knew I wanted to make a coffee table out of it, but when I curb-shopped some free fence, I decided to make the top out of that.  I cut up a true 4x4 & made the legs.  I used a mixture of vinegar & steel wool to make a stain for the legs so they would look rustic.  I created a recessed edge on the interior of the fish tote & then cut the fence accordingly.  It took a lot of sanding the fence boards, as they were heavily coated with paint, but I discovered a lovely shade of blue under the white!  The rope handles are original to the tote.  I was happy with how it turned out.  :)

I'll add more photos once I have the size edited.
