I had a store bought patio table, but wanted something with a little more character.  This glass was my beginning inspiration, but I needed some sort of cool base for underneath.
I happened upon this piece out junking and I thought it would be perfect!  The color is amazing!
All it needed was a good cleaning, some poly and that piece of glass and I have a patio table!
Not too much on top to clutter it so you cant see that amazing patina.
And with that little shelf underneath I can add a cute little outdoor vignette!
And yes, it has these little arms on the side of the legs, but thats okay.  Thats whats so great about JUNKMARKET and junk.  We delight in the little imperfections of things!
And now I have the perfect little sitting area to overlook the great outdoors!
And this is what I have to view looking off my deck.  So now Ive got my coffee, got a good book...perfect summer day.  Im sure loving this weather!

So this piece started out with just the glass.  Picked it up for a local retail store knowing I wanted something vintage underneath of it.  Out and about junking on Tuesday I came upon a perfect base.  I don't know whether it came out of a farm or actually from an industrial factory, but it certainly was cool and foot the bill.  It has an amazing patina.  With a little clean-up and some poly it is the perfect table for my deck!

Here's a tip when you have a glass top on a metal base. Place rubber plumbing washers between the metal and glass. It keeps the glass from sliding and they also act like little shock absorbers. You can also use sticky backed adhesive rubber feet.
