The original piece I never knew what to do with but it was too funky to throw away.
another view of it. So chippy! I love it.
Spray paintint it in a glossy cherry red. I didnt chip any of the  old stuffoff as I wanted to do that later to get more of an authenticaly chipped look.
A close up of a sample I chipped off to see if my theory would work or not. It appears as though it did so I set off chipping all the old loose paint off that was still slightly flakey under the new spray paint.

I had a vision and althouh my hands were way to shakey that day to do font work and it turned out a little wonky.... it looks pretty fab on our wall!
I wanted to find a way to immitate a piece of art I saw, and the second I saw the phone booth art I knew I had the perfect piece to attempt this with.
I explain on the last photo how I got that perfectly chipped and agelook and it is so much easier to do than I thought!
Now..... red. A new colour addition to our living room and it pops. So I'm looking for another red pop of something bizarre. Stay tuned for that. It's almost done as well!
