This was my weekend project. This is the after photo.
The before pic. Dirty, disgusting and layers of cigarette smoke residue on the wood.
Such beautiful detail!

This was my weekend project. This is the "after" photo.

I bought this Craftsman style rocking chair at an estate auction a couple of months ago for a steal!! It was finally warm enough to work in the garage this weekend! It was dirty and disgusting, but it was solid as a rock. The back cushion went straight to the garbage. I peeled three layers of fabric off of the seat only to find springs. I had never dealt with springs before. So after watching a few YouTube videos and a trip to the store, I kept the springs, learning how to eight-way hand tie springs along the way. I cleaned the wood, it had layers and layers of cigarette smoke residue. Ick! I looks beautiful now. It's a keeper!
