I love old baby dolls, the more loved and ragged, the better. This little darling was in great shape at the thrift store, not ragged, but lonely. So I adopted her and gave her a new life. I took her apart and painted her body and for her “clothes”, I used old paper doilies. For her hat, I cut a paper towel roll, covered it with the same doilies and added shredded paper. I made the flower shapes from the advertising cards that come with magazines and old receipts. I attached her arms, legs and head to the base of an old coffee grinder, and in one hand, she is holding a vintage Avon lipstick sample. In the drawer I placed secret notes tied with ripped old linen, maybe resolutions for 2014...???

Happy New Year!!!
