I made Otto last year but am just now posting him. He is 57 tall.
Ottos torso is an old plastic barrel.
His head is a plastic flower pot (upside down) with the top trimmed off.
Ottos legs are pieces of PVC pipe with 2x4s screwed into them. The shoulders, feet, and stand are made of scrap wood. The arms are foam pipe insulation over an armature made from old oudoor umbrella parts. Hands are styrofoam eggs.
His staff is an old spindle and a piece of a curtain rod. His hat is a bucket with a chain attached where the bail was. I spray-glued some leftover Sunbrella fabric over it and added a plywood bill.

This was not an easy project, but it was fun. Superhubby helped me figure out how to make him sturdy. The hardest part was attaching the vinyl for his jacket.
