When I saw this challenge, I was in the middle of creating mercury glass from old found objects. So I knew my canning jar was going to get the treatment too! I seem to have a problem, knowing when to stop on some of these smaller pieces, but I decided "More, is more!" and went for it! I took a small diamond cut canning jar and treated it to look like old mercury glass. I applied a copy of a vintage Christmas image on the front, where the label would have gone. Then I add some old vintage silver bottle brush ornaments. mini pine cones, quail feather, acorns, and twigs. Then I finished it off with a free form wrapping of silver boullion wire and some teeny jingles bells. I ended up adding this design piece to a vinquette I was working on for my next holiday show!
