Repurposed Vintage Simplex Timeclock & Flashlight Lamp

I had been wanting to use this vintage Simplex timeclock for a while now.  I was pretty set on making it a repurposed lamp and that's the direction I headed.  I also had been holding onto the vintage copper flashlight.  I used it as my stem and a couple of unique hand valves top things off for the edison-style lightbulb.  For the base, I cut some wood from some scraps and gave it a nice red paint, distressing and wax.  I'll finish things with some sort of shade but I like the edison glow for now.

The_paqrat writes: Way, way cool. You are most definitely on the right track. I'm into Steampunk and I would say this would qualify as Steampunk. If you should one day want to make it a working clock you could probably replace the mechanical innards with a quartz clock movement. Last I looked they had them at WalMart.
