Taking the "Challenge"...Broken Lantern to Ball Jar "Snow Globe"...

The ball jar fit perfectly.
Add a little snow and a mini tree.
I painted and distress the lid aqua for a pop of color.
Of course I added a little joyful embellishment.
And there you go...

Like many of you, I have tons of Ball jars hanging around at my house.  So when I saw Sue's Christmas Challenge last night I jumped at the chance to show you something I made recently.  I found this broken shell of a lantern at an occasional sale this summer and thought it would make a fun Christmas gift.  How about you?

I can't wait to see all of your ball jar ideas!!  And I can't wait to get the "chatting" going again around the site.  JunkMarket Style has always been a place of encouragement and inspiration for me.  I started posting on this site as a "stay at home mommy" in desperate need of a creative outlet...I got that and MORE.  I will always be grateful to Sue and the rest of my JunkMarket friends for helping me to step out and share my home and ideas.  As you know, not every one "gets it"...right?  When you post here, you know that you are among friends...that think outside of the "decorating box"... re-using, re-creating and re-storing "value" to discarded items :)

This is amazing and such a unique way to use a Ball Jar! Very pretty and festive!!

I love this challenge and agree with everything that you said. This is a special site and very inspirational. I love getting feedback on my posts but even more I love to read the comments left on all the other posts! It never fails to amaze me that so many people have done something like it, or have an idea to tweak it for their junk, or just show how they are inspired to do something similar!
