A nice semi close up showing off the colouring of the wood.
The panel I decided needed to be used. Before - pretty dull and dreary if you ask me.
A great example of the colouring difference a little hand rubbed waxing can do! On the left - the before - right - after 4 coats.
A cute little close up of her toes!

There is just something about bringing old wood back to life that I can not get enough of! This table was created after I picked a barn that was marked for demolition. The demo crew asked to keep all the wood and that no one take any, however after a wee bit if begging - I got to take this one panel home. Of course I got the "she's crazy" look, but hey, I see what I see! These legs came from our local re-store specializing in collecting salvaged goods. They were marked down pretty cheap because well - there was no top for the table. So I scooped them up. They sat in my attic for quite some time. Now the colouring on this table .... I get asked a lot about the stain I used. It's not stained at all. Well, not in the sense most people know. I used 3 varying colours of wax and put 4 coats on her. Now, most suggested uses and videos teach you to clear coat first then tint with dark wax. I decided, I'm using dark first, to darken her right up. Then I used clear to take off the excess, then I added a darker brown to tint and highlight the dings. Finished off with another clear coat to seal all that texture in! Voila! C'est fini! I LOVE how the legs turned out! Those toes!!!!  So cute!
