Found this old dining chair on the side of the road. It was an ugly, 70's yellow color, and had an equally ugly upholstery fabric on the seat.

It seemed dirty, so I started scrubbing it, and I believe all the yellowish-brownish rivers that came off it were from tobacco smoke! It was really gross. Makes me glad that i was never a smoker b/c if it does that to a chair, I have no idea what it'd do to my lungs.

Anyways, the reason I love this chair is because of the design on the back. That's the beauty in this piece.

I painted it white, and cut up a skirt from Goodwill to reupholster the seat. I'd still like to add a playful detail to it, maybe a mermaid painted somewhere on it??
