Rocking Horse rescue

Found this rocking horse on the side of the road one day. Was plain wood, and labeled 'hand crafted in Maine". I painted it a nice blue color and since this pic I have distressed it a little bit to make it look like it's been used.

I also added an old glass ash tray onto the seat of it so that a plant can sit nicely on it.

If anyone else has any other ideas for this, I'm all ears!

MakinItHappen writes: hmmm... you could
* paint a vine along the sides of the rockers,
* glue on a mossy mane
* staple on a tail of yarn or ribbons
* make a daisy chain bridle with silk flowers

MakinItHappen writes: Very nice save! And what a great idea for a plant stand. I can see it with a big, leafy Chinese evergreen on it. Posted: 6:26 pm on October 22nd
