A Litte Bit Of This and ThatAugust 29th, 2013 in member junk
Here is what happens when you get an old dresser from a friend that has seen better days. The frame is in great shape but the drawers on top were pretty bad. The drawers all lost their slides and of course it needed some color. The top part of the dresser I made into a hanging armoire. I didn't take a picture of the inside but I put an old wooden shovel handle as the bar to hang the cloths on. The new doors on the front were made from an old picket fence and the fabric in the doors are from some curtains (that were no longer in use). I had fun with the Annie Sloan Chalk Paint colors and used a layer of Provence and then dry brushed Duck Egg with a finish of dark wax over it. And my hubby wonders why I keep all those odds and ends...ya never know what project you can use them on.
