An angel watches over...and shes playing a guitar - well, actually it was a violin, but the bow was lost or broken a long time ago...so, its been repurposed into a guitar!! :)
Heres the pretty pink tree... (its under there somewhere!)
And to top it all off...an angel in pink (of course!).
Bejeweled!
I just hate to put jewelry away in a box...  This was an umbrella stand or maybe a fireplace tool holder...anyway, its very heavy, and very old (had to paint it - it was black and dark green)

This is in my tv/sewing room...dripping in vintage costume jewelry and a couple sweet little angels keeping an eye on things!

MimiToria writes: This is very beautiful Kathy. I almost bought a that exact color of pink tree last week in a MN Occassional shop. I had never seen one that color before. Very cool, but I have soooo many little trees that I passed it by. Now I'm thinking I should of bought for my sister. She would of loved it with all of her pretties on it.
I have an angel very similar to yours, but a bit different. I just love these vintage finds we discover, don't you.
The pitcher is fabulous too.

This tree is so much fun to do - a perfect way to "display" old costume jewelry (and whatever else...and sometimes I do get a "little" carried away). (and, AtticusFinch - I like yours too - I don't have any charm bracelets, but they look really nice - dangling...).

Candy - I agree about the jewelry stand - it was definitely meant to be just that!! It's got some wonderful detail (without all the "stuff" on it - it actually has kind of an angelic face on it, and on the bottom part of it, there is a bird's nest...it's really unusual. I bought it from a friend, and when she saw it painted she wished she would have kept it. But I REALLY love it! (sorry, Ellen)

And, who wouldn't love an angel playing a guitar, right? :)

Junk_Sophisticate writes: I think your guitar playing angel is the cutest little thing ever. Talk about a great "repurpose" of a violin! Your painted metal stand looks lovely as a jewelry holder! It's as if a jewelry holder was it's original intended purpose.

Beautiful, beautiful!!
