Some things just never get old and books are one of them....covers or not!
We couldnt capture the entire porch in one image. Go big or go home!! This is the dining portion of the program.
Love me my black and whites. This is what I call a re-dodo. I did this project in my very first book. While shopping a show last Fall I found a vendor selling it. What does that say about junk design? Its timeless and thats a very good thing. If you design with junk and vintage no one can say this house must have been done in the 80s, 70s, or 90s because you just cant tell when you are mixing it all up.
You know how I feel about it...organics must be included in all you do!
Setting the table. The mix of restaraunt dishes and Majolica pottery is an unexpected treat.
Beautiful McCoy pottery on a mirror. Love the reflection of the Hydrangea!
Ah, the Oronoco firefighters carring in my junk...I need say no more!
You just saw the guys carrying in the church window frame as a backdrop for the porch. I love it adorned with this cultivating disc. Graphic, modern, and beautiful.
Look at the beautiful detail on this crisp white dresser scrarf. Im not big on using these on dressers, but used to dress a dining table...now thats another story.
Bee hive starters and old books for the placemats sets off the dishes very nicely
Me and my models. Thanks so much to the Oronoco Fire Department for sharing two of their finest for the presentation.
Apparently working with the handsome firefighters made me do a spontaneous jig. Just saying..

I'm fresh off my presentation at Downtown Oronoco Gold Rush Days and I thought I would share some images from the day with you. It never ceases to amion is amaze me how photogenic "junk" is...even in its raw form. The presentation is about how to build a porch to use all day long. The next time you will be able to see this presentation is at Vintage Marketplace inside the Springfield Extravaganza in Springfield, Ohio. The dates are September 20, 21, and 22, 2013. If you have to pick a show to attend in September...this would be the show! Much more to come on that so stay tuned! For now please enjoy the images of Junk Beautiful!

Did you make this?
