"Spinning" with Spool Ideas...

I just sprayed the spool with a matte poly...and left it as is for a little industrial charm.
The perfect height for assorted spices...
...and spin it around for sweetners etc.
It would also be the perfect height for storing craft paints in a studio or project room.
Practical...and pretty??

The other day I shared my large spool ottman for my patio.  I also had a smaller wooden spool in my stash.  I just added a Lazy Susan to the bottom and it became a convenient spot to store my everyday spices...

shabbychick writes: Laurel - love your spool! I have one that size - I may have to add a lazy susan to the bottom too!! :) I've used mine as a riser for a centerpiece on my dining room table...surrounded by lots of little pieces of "junk"!

Thanks for the inspiration!

I have that exact Westinghouse clock! Wish I had somewhere to plug it in and use it in my kitchen. Posted: 6:57 am on August 29th

suziart writes: Like that! And that small spool is cute! I have a clock like your's, it is from my Mom's old roasting Westinghouse metal cabinet. I am re-purposing the cabinet into a bar.
