chezdoublewide writes: I just bought my copy of Junk Beautiful last night...wow! Talk about right up my alley! My grandfather, who passed away last April at the age of 99, was a garbage man his entire life working life. I inherited a warehouse full of beautifully aged junk - amazing collection. So anyhow, I was flipping through the magazine and nearly fell off my chair when i saw the refrigerator magnets made from old game peices. Here's why...my very first task at my very first job (in 1974, when I was 13 years old) was to collate those game cards and put them into a plastic bag! my parents were partners in the company that manufactured that product, called 'Fraction Dominoes' and my father was a co-developer of that product. I have read it cover to cover...studied every picture..came to the web site and viewed everything here. I even showed my husband and he groaned...lol I am and always be a dumpster diver, recycler.and always having him make me something from what I have. I have a tractor trailer, barn, garage and basement full of "stuff" we are using in our home. Its many projsct sure to keep us going for years. I, too, have the Junk Market Style Mag from 2006, it is truly one of the best mags ever---would love to see it on the news stand again, or better yet in my mailbox :-)

Cherwood writes: I picked up a copy at the local Home Depot store last week and have watched the DVD twice already. My favorite part is the trip to the flea market. Elko Traders Market is my absolute favorite - I could go there every day. It looks like your preferred vendors are the same as mine! I recognized every single inch of the vendors spots that you visited. It makes me long for those warm sunny days to come. They can't come soon enough! These Minnesota days with 10+ inches of snow and below zero windchills get very long. Thanks for giving me a way to visit one of my favorite junking spots as often as I'd like.
