I think this is the last of the repurposed water skis projects for a while now.  But I make no promises.  It's been a while since I've made a lamp so I went to work wondering how I could use some more of my vintage water ski stash in this way. I knew I needed something interesting and very tall as the center shaft to be able to rise above those beautiful board pieces reaching for the sky.  To the old flashlight pile!  Voila!   I also wanted to create some sort of storage space for whatever just because most people enjoy that.  Throw a can in there and hide the remotes or maybe some loose change.  Who knows!  I had plenty of the metal fins from the skis so they accent the outside pretty good.  Kind of looks like it's taking off! Enter yardsticks!  You know I've got to bring them in whenever possible.  Check out the board on the bottom.  It says "CUSTOM" -- how about that!  Hopefully this one-of-a-kind lamp will shed some light on the new owner that decides to take it home.

You could also frame the tops of windows and use instead of curtains, and it would be great to see a rack for books, etc, made with several skis used for each shelf and since they are long, the 4 corners to support the rack could each be a ski...!!! Great job!
