Adding a little va va va voom. Change up the display! Even seasonal fun can be placed in there!
Here it is displaying the guts from the piano I removed when making the Piano Bar! The bits were so interesting, I actualy decided to make a table just to display them, then found that  hinging the lid to allow items to be interchanged made the piece way more funktional!!!
A close up to show the wax added to age the piece.
Hinges in place to allow the items to be swapped out whenever needed.
A nice thick piece of coffee table standard glass was custom cut and siliconed into the old window for durability.
Another simple lovely shot

This piece was custom designed to house the guts of the piano I had removed to make the piano bar. The pieces were so interesting I felt they needed their own showcase, but how? I collected a bunch of the wood I had from a barn demo and pieced them together to make the box and legs and then I got stuck on the top. Untillllllll I was rearranging the shop one day and placed an old window on top of it to "get it out of the way" And ohhhh LOOKY! It was a perfect fit! However, the glass from old windows MUST MUST MUST be replaced! It is so fragile that placing anything on top with a surface area that large would surely lead to bad results! So, I took the old window to my favourite glass cutters and had them custom cut two thick coffee table standard pieces of glass for it. I then siliconed it into the window frame and added hinges to attach it to the table to allow it to be an interchangeable display box. You can add anything to it now to make it a fun conversation piece! Show off your favourite collectibles, make it a seasonal display, whatever you like really!
