The amazing beauty of vintage art captures the true meaning of Valentines Day.
1920’s ephemera drape the cover.
It’s elegant, lacy and delicate, what an incredible card.
A salvaged wooden detail becomes the perfect handle.
The 2¢ stamp is postmarked 1927.
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Antiquing imprints beauty onto the newly painted covers.
A child’s card with exquisite graphics.
BACK COVER:
To blend with the color pallet of the cards, I painted an inset gold border.
Ribbons and antique keys adorn the cover.
INSIDE:
Plastic sleeves for holding cards, notes and keepsakes.
A beautiful 1920s Valentine’s Day card has the following inscribed behind the outer heart.
“Where can I find a flower so fair, a star so bright, or a jewel so rare, where is the beauty that can compare with yours, my Darling? Nowhere, nowhere”.

I’ve created an album that will not only hold years of Valentine’s Day cards and memories but will also become a treasured keepsake.

Cards and envelopes from the 1920’s have been applied to scrap wood covers that were painted and antiqued.

Happy Valentine’s Day…!
