These were the first ones I did using all peachy buttons - I had problems knowing how and when to twist the wire!  It just seemed like Id twist it and then not be able to get the ice pick back out...Ive got NO patience.  You all make it look effortless!  Anyway, I like the sugar shaker with tin top - I cant wait to go thrifting for more neat containers.
I thought these were fun - so tiny!  One or two stems are all that will fit - I forgot I even had these shakers - altho I cant figure out what they were used for with only one hole!
These were mostly made using my mothers old earrings that I glued to the buttons - I really like how these turned out with all the bling!  I just need a more elegant container and a much larger one since the one I used kept tipping over!

Well, Kathy (Shabby Chick) thanks for the wonderful instructions ~ however, my Michael's didn't carry 19 guage wire so I had to use 18.  Then, I couldn't find any buttons since I don't sew, so I ended up taking all the buttons off the tiebacks from my bedroom curtains that I had strung many years ago using Granny's old sewing box!  I had a ball making these even though my kids think I'm crazy.   Anyway, I think they turned out OK and I can't wait to get some more buttons, beads, earrings and containers...Thanks again.

That, and the fact that I think they are adorable. I'll post when I get mine done. thanks for more inspiration, Georgia Posted: 4:05 pm on December 10th

To give the container more weight...you could add sand, beads, or strands of pearls, etc...many possibilities.

Once I made a few, I couldn't stop - they were so much fun!

P.S. Too funny - you're tearing things apart to get your buttons - but now you'll be looking for them when you're out and about junking. I found most of mine at garage sales, and some were given to me too. Posted: 3:24 pm on December 9th

Can't wait to see more!
