The wheels were spinning...what can I use an old door frame casing for! I knew as soon as I spotted the two rattan couch ends it would all come together to make a daybed. I shaped some bits of wood into feet which gave the bed a little needed height. I added decorative brackets I cut from some old barn board and wood slats to support the foam mattress. I made a cover from drapery fabric and pillows to match.
