The Tale Of Two Short Tables

They literally were too short! Would have been the perfect height for a footstool. The tables were in fair condition and did not deserve to be kicked to the curb as trash...otherwise I loved the look and shape. A great find! So began the transformation. I separated the top with the pedestal from the base. I managed to find some wood parts left over from another project. Joining all the pieces together created the height I wanted to achieve. A brass base from a lamp was also added to the bottom of the pedestal. I often use parts from old lamps or metal hard wear from pant belts for my projects. I find it adds an interesting feature and also creates a bit of glamour. Re staining and wax helped to blend the wood tones.
