Junky Garden HousesJanuary 8th, 2013 in member junk
I'm a believer to use up what you have around. My husband knows I love weathered wood, (even though I'm not sure he does...) and he brought home these long squared posts that were used inbetween pallets at his work. LOVED THEM!
We also tore down our family barn this last year, and part of the digging around, I found a roll of the waved tin - I think is used for gardening.
Now with Christmas coming up, I wanted to make some of my gifts this year. And I had a bunch of stakes from the solar lights I put in mason jars. Sooooooo, this is what I came up with. =}
I had different parts I've been saving from door knob plates, lock parts, or even hinges. If it was metal, rusty, half painted, it was "gold" in my eye. I also picked up a bag of misc crystals from my last JunkFest. I thought, every piece needed the pretty touch to bling it up. =}
My dad had odd old cattle tags from YEARS ago laying in the yard. Some were pretty brittle, but saved a couple. So cute! Each one was different.
I was REALLY happy on how they turned out.
