However, before I found these, I hung new, white-painted screen doors as a pantry door, closet door and hallway door (to keep pets from the bedrooms). I added gingerbread trims (a curtain panel for the closet door to mask the coats inside)for the cottage-up the look. I have a pair of faded green doors (matched set) that I want installed on the french doors leading outside from the kitchen. I'll spring this on my handyman next spring. I've seen a pair like mine used over a regular shower door, too. Really cool look.

ShaeLeigh writes: Love the double door...and thanks for the idea! I have a collection of old wooden screen doors, myself, and hadn't thought about using them as interior doors. Love it! Posted: 6:41 pm on January 8th
junkchick writes: How wonderful. I found a beautiful old green screen door with all the gingerbread still on, and replaced my home office door with it. My husband thought I was crazy, taking down a perfectly good door. But I love it and it is the first thing people see when they come into our house. And I am in the process of changing our pantry door with a beautiful old 12 pane door. I wanted to use it for the bathroom door, but my husband put his foot down on that one. I have an ongoing collection of Screens as well but yours are by far the grandest at the ball:)
If my some slim chance you ever run across two more I would be in the market to purchase. You have found the perfect home for them. It looks like you built the house around them. Posted: 7:54 am on December 21st

jowalker writes: I love screen doors. We used them on the outside of the bedroom doorjamb so that the menagerie won't invade the kids' rooms. and they do not feel cut off from the rest of the house. Posted: 11:56 am on December 7th

MimiToria writes: These are great! A friend of mine did that in her home into an area that housed the 2 bedrooms and bath, so kind of into a hallway. That is the only other time I've seen this done. Hers were white. I am surprised you didn't paint them white, as I thought anything that was in your sight got white washed? Ha! These really pop in black and look great.
Thanks for sharing.
I've never seen a 2 door screen set either. Fun to see.
