thats an artificial succulent from Michaels...doesnt it look real?

My son got married in August and ever since I have been extraordinarily interested in wedding details (or just plain nosy).   Recently I saw some photos of a bride's bouquet made out of vintage brooches and succulents instead of very lovely!  I was inspired to gather up my vintage jewelry that I've had on display on the world's largest pincushion (one of my 2009 posts)

I didn't want to make a bridal bouquet so came up with these instead. Besides, to make a full round bouquet takes well over a hundred pieces of jewelry.   I didn't think to take any before photos of the jewels while I wired them, but I used 20 gauge floral wire and green tape. I found out later you can get floral tape in white or brown as well. I found a floral arrangement at Goodwill for a few bucks and picked it apart for some leaves and other filler.

Also love that you use beer bottles for containers...hmmmm, I am always looking for tablescape ideas and who doesn't love the deep brown tone of a beer bottle? :) Genius.

Thanks for sharing your ideas!
