I needed something to organize all my thread. Keeping it in the bottom of my sewing basket wasnt working!
I found this old plate that was used in a bean planter, and thought I could do something with it.
Its convex, and it would work to use it either side up, but I decided to use it this way.
I found six old carriage bolts from my stash.
Then I epoxied them to the plate.
Each bolt will hold two spools of thread. I might have to make another one!

An old rusty bean planter plate and some carriage bolts help keep my spools of thread organized.

texasjunkermom writes: How clever! I will definitely find something resembling the bean planter plate to duplicate your idea. And quick, send Jim the planter plate; knowing his ability to transform stuff, no telling what he'll come up with! Right? (Jim, be sure to show us!) T. Posted: 1:37 pm on October 14th
