Chest of Drawers Overhaul

This vintage chest of drawers needed a lot of love when I found it.  After repairs, bad veneer stripping, and elbow grease I then painted it with a couple colors of chalk paint.  I distressed it all to the style I wanted and then applied pieces from a 1965 Louisiana school map in the framed fields of the drawers.  After lots of mod podge, thumb tacks, and poly, it was finished!

I love that it pulls the blue-greens out of the maps and I do like the bottom drawer being the "title" of the map for a change - you just are a natural for these things. ~Mary~ Posted: 7:27 pm on November 20th

Here is a list of what I love about this: color, style ,maps, finish. I guess that covers it pretty well. Amazing as usual!
