A fresh new face in the world of vintage. What's not to love about this face!!!
Cutting edge style is what you will find from this young new friend of mine.
Graphics and industrial...an ab fab combination!
A little bit of whimsy goes a long way!
I adore these little lovlies Kristofer ucovered. The possibilities? Enless!!!
I'm a fan of Kristofer. No pun intended!!
Typewriters...always a crowd pleaser....
but this little yellow number is extraordinary! I do believe this was Kristofer's "pick of the show" at the September Vintage Marketplace at Springfield Extravaganza. I rather like this find. Would you like to make a trade for something in my stash of favorites, Kristofer???
This is a beautiful combination of modern and traditional. Combination is key!!
The JUNKMARKET/GETFRESH girls, the Inventorialist team, and our junkyard dog, Lily. We'll be back together again at Vintage Marketplace at Tailgate-Music Valley Antiques Show. It will be a great reunion. See you there!!

I was lucky enough to meet Kristofer and be his neighbor at Vintage Marketplace inside the Springfield Extravaganza this September. It has been a long time goal of mine to establish a younger set of vendors and shoppers within the vintage industry and Kristofer is just the shot in the arm our industry needs. He has a great eye, a fabulous sense of style, a passion for all things vintage. He seems to be drawn to more modern finds, but knows just how to combine his flair for contemporary and industrial with the warmer and cozy side of vintage making his style approachable to all. This is not an easy thing to do. Here's what Kristofer say about himself:
Let's see...
I have a degree in Art History,
I have for ten years purchased for and managed a store called Silver in the City in Indianapolis. We have been voted indianapolis' favorite gift store for the past 9 years (by nuvo news weekly-similar to the City Pages of Minneapolis). I also style photos in my spare time.
As for this side love of mine...
I have a tendency to not sit still well...and enjoy rambling the countryside to find items the have lived an "authentic life" I really enjoy seeing where items have been used, one of my favorite things is an old farm chair that through use has revealed 10 shaded of former paint jobs. I get excited about how people react to these things. How items conjure memory, how wear from use reminds us of history. I have a tendency to turn found items, and worn items into sculpture. I also have a leaning towards the industrial. I suppose that the things I collect have a masculine feel to them. I am always looking for the right feel and fit in things. I guess that one of my favorite things is the curating of collections, for myself or to present to people for purchase. I am constantly curating.
Not only is Kristofer talented, but his personality is delightfully engaging. There's even one more plus....he is a fellow Minnesotan that now calls Indianapolis his home. I look forward to working with Kristofer in the years to come and watching his style and talent evolve. Kristofer and many other fine vendors will join Jon Jenkins and I at Vintage Marketplace at Tailgate-Music Valley Antiques Show. Hedersonville, TN October 25-27, 2012.
