Paper Dispenser

I've wanted a vintage paper dispenser for a long time, but they can be pricey. I found this dispenser for a reasonable price. It looked like one that would be mounted to the wall. Not really what I wanted.
After examining it, I realized I could make it what I wanted without a lot of fuss.
I just found a board that was the right width, cut it to size and stained it. Then I used wood screws to fasten the dispenser right to the board.
I wanted a place to hold string, so I added that, too.
It's just an old carriage bolt. I drilled a hole into the board, and epoxied the bolt into place.
Now I have exactly what I wanted!

It can sometimes be hard to find exactly what you want. But sometimes, with a few modifications, you can make something into what you want.
