The Before. Yaaaaaaa, not worth even looking at. It makes you ill. If it doesnt, Im going to fetch the thermometer!
The secret - The backing of old signs, pictures, mirrors, posters, dressers, etc. You get the jist. Anything super thin!
Cut cut cut, glue glue glue, nail nail nail, caulk caulk caulk and dont forget all the colourful vocabulary in between !!!!! Worth the hardwork!
Caulking is VERY important in bathrooms! The moisture would warp this thin board pretty quick. Caulk and a GREAT primer!
Use that ....thing..... that you see hanging over doors but never getting used to hang clothes lol! It holds a can of paint pretty well while you are up there!
Find a HUGE mirror on the side of the road! Its free, its ugly, and once you paint it, its PERFECT! Usually attached to some ridiculously destroyed dresser....... that can be changed into something grand too of course!
Dont forget to grab a picture of your photographer while shes bending and warping all over the place trying to get the perfect shot! :) Shes just too fabulous!
On top of the low cost of $148 to do this, may I say I got myself THE SEXIEST DIY manicure ever! So unique~ I KNOW no one around here has anything similar, and that my friends is PRICELESS! I think it should cut my expense list even smaller since I saved so much money on my DIY manicure!

So, the Doc told me I had pneumonia and needed bed rest - which to me meant, no more customer orders, time to renovate my bathroom! 4 days later nasty changed prefection! Yes, we bought a house that needs a little love.... and by a little I mean, a bulldozer and crew of men would likely be nicer HA! So here's this weeks work!

Easy to create, but a lot of work. You CAN do it!

emw1203 writes: It is so chic, love it. The chandelier is a nice touch. We have a Victorian that is taking a long time to redo so I can understand how it goes. You did a great job. Posted: 4:29 pm on August 24th
gadgetsponge writes: Beautiful makeover! I love the play of the white and gray with the natural tones mixed in. I think your bathroom "before" was sponsored by Pepto, right? It wouldn't take much to improve on that but you took it to the next level! Posted: 10:13 am on August 24th
GypsyBarn writes: Ohhhh Sue - you're my inspiration, so my quirkiness and confidence to let it show stems a lot from you! I was just reading through your Junk Beautiful book with my girlfriend ( who does all my big photography) and we both cracked up over the comment - Shopping for tubs in the parking lot is the latest craze! Or the "now that it's carcass free, let's put it in the laundry room!" LOL! LOVE IT! It sounds identical to the things spewing from us!

As for the Accessories in the bathroom ... her and I were battling over what went it, and spent alot of time laughing at each other as we balanced on toilets and window ledges holding random objects in the air!

I recall the -
"can't we just hire someone to hide outside the picture and hold this giant galvanized tub in the air as a shelf just for the shot????" LOL!
I sort of want to do a reality photo shoot - ( pretty display pic but in all reality, the soaked tub toys, dripping toothpaste, bunched up floor towels and empty rolls of toilet paper) We all know the truth haha
or the behind the scenes of the shoot - shoot. Its the most fun! Posted: 7:25 am on August 24th
