Hangin' out!

Wet, sloppy towels skeeving up the floor? No more. Entice your teens (or teen-like peeps) to make with the towel hangage on this vintage skateboard towel holder. Hang one towel or hang ten!

Junk Market Style Difficulty Meter

Materials:
Vintage wooden skateboard
Wood cleaner/Wood finish
Fine sandpaper
6 Galvanized ceiling flanges
2 Split ring hangers
Threaded rod- ours was ¾"- 10- 1'
Screws, bolts

Tool List:
Drill/Screwdriver

Method:

Step 1: Sand any rough edges from skateboard and clean with wood cleaner.

Dirt's a no-no if you're hanging towels.

Step 2: Pre drill and screw metal flanges to back of skateboard. Two on inside of wheels and one on each end of the board.

Step 3: Measure and cut the threaded rod to fit between the wheels.

These inside flanges and rods will hold the towel bar.

Step 4. Open split ring hangers and insert threaded rod.

Step 5. Screw this to the flanges between the wheels.

The shorter the screw, the better (less stuff stickin' out.)

Step 6. Attach last set of flanges to wall and screw to outside flanges on board.
